Thank you for supporting the Department of Radiology and the University of Mississippi, the state's only academic medical center.

The R. Brent Harrison, M.D., Endowed Chair of Radiology fund seeks to honor Dr. Harrison's life and legacy. Dr. Harrison was a beloved member of the University of Mississippi Medical Center faculty for 22 years, serving as Professor and Chair of the Department of Radiology. Under Dr. Harrison’s leadership, the department of radiology grew to include additional faculty, space, equipment and services. Following his retirement as Chair, Dr. Harrison continued to serve the Medical Center as a clinical radiologist for many years. Among his many achievements, Harrison was inducted into the Sovereign Orthodox Order of the Knights Hospitaller of Saint John of Jerusalem in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The R. Brent Harrison Endowed Chair Fund has been established with a lead gift from Dr. Harrison's family, and we invite you to join us in reaching the $1 million funding goal. Gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

An endowed chair allows the Department of Radiology to recruit distinguished faculty members, provide students with support and mentorship, and create opportunities for collaboration with physicians around the world. This extra support is critical to attracting and retaining skilled specialists, fosters training, and enhances research initiatives.
